THE OPPORTUNITY 
Due to internal promotion MSD Animal Health has an opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to support the Bendigo manufacturing site.  This role will see you will take accountability for a broad range of categories including: raw materials, site services, maintenance, printing & packaging, laboratory supplies and equipment.

As a Procurement Specialist you will: 
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned spend categories 
  • Drive cost saving initiatives within your assigned category portfolio  
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand their business unit and procurement requirements 
  • Manage vendor relationships including contract negotiations, implementation and performance management 
Qualifications

ABOUT YOU
  • To be successful as a Procurement Specialist you will:
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in purchasing, business or other related discipline
  • Be a Procurement Specialist with strong strategic sourcing experience
  • Pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry experience is highly regarded 
  • SAP experience is desirable 

Of critical importance to your success in the position will be your ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders, acting as the liaison between supplies and company departments.
