Reporting
to the Engineering Director the Centre
of Excellence
(CoE) Associate Director will perform a key management role
in the start-up and development of MSD Biotech Dublin into a world class
Biologics Drug Substance manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Engineering
Director, the CoE Associate Director will lead a newly formed team of Engineers
and Specialists. Using their expertise, the team will play a vital role ensuring
Safety First, Quality Always with responsible for areas of Engineering
Management Systems,  Equipment Safety, Reliability  and Business
Continuity.



 


Position Responsibilities


·       
Develop, gain alignment and implement the site
Asset Management Strategy and Business Continuity Plan.



·       
Interpretation and implementation of engineering
best practice and embedding a continuous improvement culture to engineering
standards across the site. 



·       
Develop the skills of the team, stimulate personal
growth and development with effective coaching and training programs.



·       
Collaborate and work cross functionally to develop
and deliver on all aspects of the project and commercialization activities to
meet schedule milestones.



·       
Driving operational and technical excellence,
harnessing the power of data and digital technology for decision making.



·       
Drive effective writing/revising/rolling out of
accurate operational procedures, training materials ensure all work is subsequently
carried out in line with same.



·       
Resolve issues and escalate risks in a timely
fashion to the relevant on-site stakeholders.



·       
Asset Lifecycle Planning and improvement projects.



·       
Supporting and facilitating project sub-teams.



Qualifications



Qualifications & Experience


General Experience


·       
Demonstrating energy and enthusiasm, the CoE
Associate Director will be a role model for engineering excellence.



·       
Demonstrated leadership with at least 5 years'
experience in a people management role.



·       
Proven track-record in delivering results in a
cross functional environment.



·       
Innovative thinker, with excellent decision-making
and problem-solving skills.



 


Technical Experience


·       
Knowledge of Environmental and Safety
regulatory/code requirements to Irish, European and International Codes,
Standards and Practices related to  Equipment and Maintenance.



·       
Ability to manage and drive results, tracking KPIs
and team performance; ability to engage, develop and equip teams for success in
role execution.



·       
Problem Solving and Decision Making.



·       
Experience of Business Continuity Assessments and
Improvements.



·       
Working knowledge of SAP or another Maintenance
Management System.
