The Regional Leader of Global Talent Acquisition Operations is responsible for ensuring the highest possible supply of talent through MSD’s Talent Acquisition process in responsible region (EMEA). MSD leverages internal resources and world class partners to deliver its Talent Acquisition services; this position is responsible for managing the external partners and facilitating the intersection between the internal resources and our external partners. This position will work closely with the Regional Leads of Talent Acquisition to execute the long-term strategic vision of creating Talent as MSD’s trademark.


Major Activities


  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the business and the competitive marketplace to ensure talent programs are linked to business needs and priorities
  • Engage closely with regional GTA CoE and HR business partners to create and develop sourcing strategies including university recruitment.
  • Develop robust talent strategies in alignment with stakeholders to manage holistic talent supply 
  • Manages a regional team responsible for building operations and systems infrastructure and interpret data analytics to drive efficiencies and operational excellence
  • Leverage advanced analytics to analyze hiring trends and apply appropriate strategy, policy and process interventions
  • Ensure operational excellence by continuously evolving end to end global recruitment delivery model including people, process, technology and compliance
  • Continue to evolve MSD’s contingent talent / external workforce strategy from a Managed Service Supplier (MSP) to a Total Talent solution.
  • Manage Global Background Check (GBC) process, continually improve candidate experience, hiring manager experience and end-user experience
  • Deliver adherence to compliance across all aspects of GTA operations including but not limited to adjudication for GBC
  • Implement diversity recruitment strategies whilst leveraging various diversity organizations and external partners.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with Suppliers to ensure optimal service levels to the enterprise through formal Supplier Governance
  • Ability to deliver results in a highly dynamic and at times ambiguous environment

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field
  • Six Sigma certification preferred






  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience
  • Leadership in the area of Talent Acquisition or HR operations (ideally both)
  • Experience influencing senior leadership in complex organizations
  • Experience managing external suppliers/partners
  • Project management skills: Clear demonstrated expertise in the scoping, development and management of enterprise-wide projects coupled with proven change management skills as well
  • Identifies operational effectiveness and efficiency opportunities and provides impactful solutions for continuous improvement
