Then you could be our new Regional Account Manager for MSD’s activities in Tampere region!

As a Regional Account Manager you will be the primary point of contact responsible for managing a regional strategic business relationship with the assigned Accounts in Tampere area. You will contribute to MSD’s overall portfolio business performance and will be accountable for business relationship and customer experience with by identifying needs, co-developing, implementing and following up on customer solutions.

The Regional Account Manager is a strategic and a very cross-functional role that works in close co-operation with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Policy and Commercial (or business) departments.

In the Regional Account Manager role you will be responsible for Market and Customer Understanding and Analysis, Account Plan Development, Implementation and Tracking, Integrated Account Team Management and Tender Management.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying emerging or accelerating market -trends and relevant insights to drive growth opportunities with Top and Key Customers

  • Developing an in-depth understanding of the Key Account’s unmet and evolving needs and deducting Implications integrating full MSD portfolio.

  • Understanding the decision-making from funding and market access point of view, logistical, tendering and contracting processes within the Account.

  • Defining, presenting and validating Account objectives and KPIs with relevant business stakeholders.

  • Developing a Customer Plan that contains a thorough understanding of the Customer(s)’ goals and needs as well as considers competitive and business challenges.

  • Defining a tailored MSD value proposition linked to Customer needs using a cross-franchise approach.

  • Developing long-term customer-centric strategies that will appropriately grow revenue, market share and portfolio penetration while also building our reputation through professional engagement and partnerships with key decision-makers.

  • Developing and maintaining long-term engagements with customers/stakeholders within the Key Accounts that are responsible for the “business” side of the account (e.g. Clinic Budget Owners, Directors of Pharmacy, Senior Procurement Managers, Board of Expensive Drugs, Business Development Managers, and Hospital management (CEO, CFO and COOs)) and municipality.

  • Serving as primary MSD interface for all products and services to the business-end of the Key Account – coordinating the efforts of all other functions/divisions towards the account.

Your geographic coverage will be Tampere region, but you can be based in either Helsinki or Tampere area. Around 60% of time will be spent in the field with customers

You will report to the Head of Strategic Accounts in Finland.
