THE OPPORTUNITY
Our Animal Health Manufacturing site based in Upper Hutt currently has a unique opportunity for a Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) Coordinator. In this role, you will be an effective member of the HS&E team providing an efficient and effective health, safety and environmental management system for our Upper Hutt and Whiteman’s Valley sites ensuring legislative and corporate compliance is met. 

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Maintaining a HS&E training matrix and coordinate HS&E training requirements
  • Completing assessments ,implementing and maintaining HS&E corporate standards including identification of improvements 
  • Managing HS&E incident/accident reporting ensuring corrective actions are implemented
  • Reporting of routine HS&E metrics to corporate and regulatory bodies.  
  • Conducting staff and contractor safety inductions, issuing appropriate permits, overseeing contractor work to ensure it is performed in a safe and appropriate manner as required
  • Maintaining the site hazard register and conducting hazard assessments and HazOps as required. 
  • Ensuring environmental compliance by maintaining resource consents and oversite of hazardous waste processes.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurately completed and closed, ensuring Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) standards are met through writing and technically reviewing Standard Operating Procedures. 
Qualifications

ABOUT YOU
This opportunity is essential in ensuring the safety of employees and the surrounding environment on site, therefore g. Pharmaceutical Manufacture, Dairy Industry, Brewing, Petrochemical or Pulp and Paper manufacture is highly desirable
  • Experience with GMP, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) or ISO 9000 in a production environment is preferable
