The Payroll Coordinator will be providing high level Payroll and HR administrative support for our Animal Health manufacturing site in Krems, Austria, and ensure professional and efficient HR/Payroll services to all customers.

Working closely with the Payroll Lead Austria to process payroll for employees, the Coordinator will ensure all employees are paid accurately, on time and in accordance with company policy and external legal requirements. At the same time, you will be the first contact person for employees and clients for any payroll, tax and social security related issues.

Furthermore, you will liaise between payroll operations and the Human Resources and/or Finance department on daily operations, support the Payroll Manager Austria in harmonizing the payroll systems and generate queries and report, to support production validation and metrics.

Responsibilities included:

  • Provide assistance in ensuring a smooth Payroll administration process

  • Compile and/or track payroll input data, audit new hires on payroll master records, executing day-to-day activities to internal and 3rd party vendors

  • Perform Pending List and decision protocols

  • Provide day-to-day key support for our employees at all levels in terms of salary, taxation and social insurance matters (First contact person), liaising where appropriate with employees, HR, Finance, 3rd party provider and collectively resolve queries quickly and efficiently

  • Process optimization and interfaces between Accounting, Human Resources and external providers

  • Focus on continuous improvement within the HR Payroll Operations EMEA group by creating new standard work documentation and identifying new and improved process opportunities

  • Various specialized administrative tasks as well as working on projects

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Accounting or another relevant payroll qualification; in lieu of a degree, the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability

  • Passion for HR and Admin support duties, passion for smooth and efficient Administration

  • At least 3 years of experience in Payroll processing and/or operations experience in multi-state complex corporate environment or other relevant work experience (e.g. in Human Resources, Finance or another closely related role)

  • Good business sense and thorough knowledge of Austrian labor law and regulation

  • Effective time management and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.

  • Proven ability to effectively work under pressure of time constraints and to function in a flexible constantly changing environment

  • Strong IT Skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)

  • Highly organized with a high level of accuracy

  • Fluency in German and English, both verbal and written

The minimum annual salary for this position is EUR 37’500 and varies according to the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
