You will be responsible for Application Maintainance Support and Operations of the business applications within the Application Support Area.

Role overview:
  • Responsible for day to day support of the service process defined around a specific function, data collection, documentation and reporting
  • SME for specific function and Data Management
  • Responsible for follow up and monitoring of business process with the vendor partners
  • Supervise and perform the configuration of a custom laboratory system
  • Work with business to collect requirements and transform them into solutions within the supporting function
Service Delivery (Process Level)
  • Ensure that all service management processes, procedures, service level agreements and underpinning contracts are appropriate for the agreed service level targets. 
  • Review the operations and maintenance of the functions
  • Track Service Provider performance to ensure business viability of service levels and reports status, issues, etc. to Service Leads
  • Coordinate Demand Management planning with the Vendor and Service Leads 
Service Improvement as Subject Matter Expert (SME)
  • Act as point of escalation for any service level related issues that arise at the Service Delivery manager/ Lead level
  • Conduct service improvement follow up and implementation for the process in focus with the vendor
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee the testing process and checkpoints, manage QA/Testers, and ensure developed services meet defined standards and requirements
Problem Solving & Change Management
  • Resolve and escalate as necessary incident and requests that require additional follow up 
  • Review current open changes and request for change approvals at each appropriate approval step (Specific to Process)
Knowledge Management and Process Documentation 
  • Partner with the vendor for day to day activities towards governance, knowledge management to enable the process in focus
  • Update documents on a continual basis for the vendor processes 
  • Evaluate, create, document and publish the Service Catalogue outlining the IT services provided by a specific service unit
  • Process Reporting and Data Monitoring - Manage and ensure data accuracy


We are seeking professionals with the following qualifications, skills and Experience:

Education Requirement:
  • Master’s Degree or Bachelor´s Degree with relevant experience in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, System Engineering or equivalent.
Required Experience and Skills:
  • Experience working in Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven team leadership and IT experience in a diverse and complex global environment. 
  • A strong, demonstrated record of delivering IT project and services to support business initiatives. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Facilitate productive and business-like meetings. 
  • Must be able to work with individuals at all levels and demonstrate a level of professionalism that instills confidence and inspires trust. 
  • Ability to achieve goals through others without having direct responsibility 
  • Strong people management, communication, leadership, and change management. 
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment.
  • Understanding of the System Development Life Cycle for computerized systems.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience managing IT Projects and Services.
  • Experience working with Lab Informatics domain (LIMS, CDS, SDMS, etc.)
  • Experience managing resources and suppliers.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent.
  • Possession of ITIL, CMMi or ITSM Certification
  • Publishing, Pharmacovigilance or Clinical trial management systems.
  • Experience with multiple technology platforms with examples that include web applications (Java programming) and Oracle/SQL databases.
