Information Technology Risk Management and Security has become an essential component of the current IT enterprise that provides IT & Automation support to the Pharmaceutical Research, Supply Chain and Marketing organizations.  Increased risks in both the information security (e.g. cyber threats, malware, etc.) and the regulated areas have required that staff possessing such skills is fully embedded within the IT organization.  The enterprise is now dependent on these security and compliance experts for identifying, escalating and remediating such IT Risks in a timely and efficient manner.  Also, emerging technologies like cloud, mobility and data analytics require strong IT Risk and Compliance early involvement.



Primary Responsibilities Include:


  • Interface with regional constituents to communicate elements of risk and promote security awareness.
  • Lead all functions related to the Security Awareness Champions Program.
  • Collaborate with the correspondent global Risk Liaison and support the respective division in the EMEA region as requested.
  • Guide Regional IT Teams in the compliance of internal processes with company policies, procedures and external regulations.
  • Partner with global IT Risk Management and Security functions to ensure appropriate alignment and thorough evaluation of IT security risk identification, prioritization and mitigation.
  • Support a positive culture change through continuous monitoring, awareness, education, partnering with industry standard leaders and promoting best practices.
  • Drive enterprise-wide risk mitigation programs, processes and technologies focusing effort on the effective treatment of the highest risks.
  • Maintains current state awareness and understanding of internal and industry practices relative to IT Security, Risk & Compliance.
  • Coordination and follow-up of regional audits as needed.
Qualifications

Mandatory Qualifications/ Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience
  • Technical IT background
  • Cybersecurity Common Sense Concepts Knowledge
  • Motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient written and oral English skills
  • Can do attitude, focused on solutioning
  • Customer oriented mindset
  • Willingness to build up company and security specific business acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze & articulate potential risk and compliance
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence all Management levels both in writing and verbally
  • The ability to advocate for and drive new ideas
  • Availability to travel if needed

Nice to have:

  • Experience with regulated industries
  • Industry Certifications are a plus (CISSP, CRISC, CISM)
