We are presently recruiting a Comercial & Business Operations Director for MSD Chile. This position will require outstanding leadership in the pharmaceutical business and commercial strategies, that contributes with MSD Chile’s success fulfilling and exceeding the subsidiary’s revenue objectives for the public and private markets, through interaction with external customers building relationships that add value and an effective coordination/interaction with the others areas within the company.

This experienced business and commercial leadersip role will be responsible for the following key areas: 
• Data Analytics: Lead and leverage existing business intelligence and sales force effectiveness tools and processes, as well as, explore and implement all new data analytics trends and capabilitis available internally and externally, to allow analyze the entire business performance and drive the decision-making process within MSD.

• Key Account Management: Define local strategy to develop and manage key accounts existing at country level, leading the processes of design, execute and evaluate processes oriented to know, understand and surpass customer’s needs, building long-term relations oriented to ensure MSD and customer’s business success. Monitor the efficiency of the commercial policy in terms of discounts, inventories and payments conditions; and if necessary, propose adjustments to take advantage of opportunities and maximize results.

• Business Operations: Work with business units directors and their teams, to ensure that promotional and tactical plans are aligned with comercial initiatives, oriented to achieve the monthly, quarterly and yearly business goals for each franchise, and reinforce those initiatives with each customers’ segment. 

• Tenders: Lead the team responsible for monitor, prepare and submit key tenders for each of our franchises, providing strategic and tactical insights to the accounts managers, sales managers and sales representantives responsible for the private/public institution owner of each tender. Also, this team is responsible to ensure the comply of contractual terms and conditions of those tenders awarded to MSD.

• Compliance: Ensure compliance with corporate policies of all processes under her/his responsibility, 

Other important responsibilities will be:
• Drives results: Supports country’s team in efforts to commercialize our products facilitating access and profitability.
• Aligns Strategy: Adapts the global/regional strategy related to country’s commercial and business operations challenges and opportunities. Provides input to global/regional teams based on customer insight and market knowledge.
• Ensures Execution: Support marketing & sales teams of all BUs to plan and execute marketing and commercial strategies oriented to achieve/maintain leadership of our franchises in their reference markets.
• Builds Talent: Coaches local cross-functional teams and foster collaboration to deploy programs and tools that strengthen local capabilities to maximize our brands and portfolio.

• Successfully navigate the internal structure and external environments to deliver value to our subsidiary and key stakeholders.
• Positive leadership, with proven ability to develop and implement commercial and business decisions that generate both revenue and operating income
• Work effectively with cross-functional partners including medical affairs, regulatory affairs, manufacturing, market analytics, field sales organization, legal, training and development, compliance, etc.
• Knowledge of new digital platforms, data analythics, CRM tools and project management methodologies, oriented to create innovative and more agile solutions/services for ours business units and customers.

Education Minimum Requirement: 

• Minimum of BA/BS.
• Master’s Degree or MBA Preferred

Required Experience and Skills: 

• Minimum of 8 years in the Pharmaceutical Business
• In-line commercial and business operations experience
• Business and financial acumen and strong analytical thinking skills
• Strategic/Key accounts management proven experience
• Ability to translate strategy into action plans and drive successful execution
• Solid project management skills and proven ability to lead projects to successful and timely completion
• Strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate across the organization and various stakeholders
• Powerful communication skills
• Understanding and application of MSD's policies, compliance, operations and change management
• Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity
• Strong interpersonal/negotiation skills & ability to influence
• Strong problem solving, teamwork and presentation skills.
• Advanced English
