MSD Austria is recruiting for a dynamic, passionate and driven professional with strong Marketing & Sales background, which is critical in the ongoing success of the Oncology business. Brand & Customer Manager will have responsibility for developing and implementing marketing plans to ensure optimal business results within the Oncology therapy area whilst working towards the Business Unit strategic objectives. Reporting to the Oncology Business Unit Lead, you will be responsible for selected Oncology indications in Austria. Work location is Vienna, Austria.



Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Launch a new product indication and drive its commercial success

  • Customer management; Customer Planning & Execution

  • Strategy Development and Representation on Franchise Team

  • Strategy and Program Implementation; Ensure development and execution of relevant and impactful Customer Plans across the team

  • Forecasting/Planning & Tracking; Material Development

  • Product & Disease Knowledge; Coordination and Collaboration in a cross-functional matrix environment

  • Analyze local market and identify commercial opportunities

  • Allocate resources and manage budgets

  • Track, monitor progress and adjust activities accordingly

  • Ensure alignment between Customer Plans (Sales) and Country Integrated Medical Strategy (Scientific Lead Engagement Plan)
Qualifications

 



  • Minimum Master's Degree preferably in life sciences (e.g. biology, biochemistry, pharmacy, medicine); higher degree (e.g. PhD or MD) or additional degree (e.g. MBA) preferred

  • Successful experience in Sales in hospital environment or 2+ years successful experience in Product Management

  • General experience in Oncology field

  • Knowledge of the overall healthcare system and the role of the individual customer groups within the healthcare environment

  • Ability to navigate in a science-driven, quickly developing environment encompassing multiple diseases and products

  • Demonstrated successful opinion leaders management

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Proven ability to understand & learn science and translate it into simple messages

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to develop and manage professional relationships

  • Strong MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint) expertise is expected

  • Proficiency in German and English, both verbal and written

The minimum annual salary for this position is EUR 53’400 and varies according to the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
