We are currently recruiting for two EMEAC Regional Collaborations Lead, Oncology (RCL) roles (Director Level), reporting to Executive Director, EMEAC Oncology Collaborations. There is a strong preference for these roles to be based in Kriens, Switzerland. Candidates who cannot relocate must have access to a major airport hub and be willing to travel 2-3 days/week on average, in addition to travel required by the role.

These roles are a critical part of our Regional Oncology Marketing Team, which is expanding as we continue to grow our business organically and through collaborations.  One role will focus initially on upcoming launches in advanced ovarian cancer (OC) and metastatic breast cancer (mBC); the other role will focus on an upcoming launch in hepatocellular cancer (HCC). Accountabilities may change as the lifecycle of each product evolves, and as new indications are approved.

The RCL’s main responsibility will be to manage, at regional level, the commercialization the products, in partnership with our collaboration partners.

Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Ensuring launch excellence across the region
  • Implementing the global marketing strategy
  • Overseeing the creation and implementation of local commercialization plans and cop-promotion agreements between MSD and partner affiliates
  • Identifying and tracking key metrics and performance indicators
  • Creation of productive and open relationships with collaboration partners, the global team, and affiliates
  • Sharing best practices across EMEAC and with other regions
  • Collaborating with the MSD Global Team, our affiliates, and our business partners to optimize structure, staffing, resourcing, and flow of information across markets
  • Driving and balancing growth and financial accountability throughout the collaboration
The main stakeholders with whom the RCL will work are:
  • Counterpart(s) at partner company
  • Members of Regional Oncology Marketing Team\
  • Members of affiliate teams, especially Franchise Heads and Product Managers
  • Members of Global Oncology Team
  • Leading HCPs based in EMEAC who practice in key indications
Qualifications

Key requirements:
  • Strong understanding of the Oncology market including current & future trends
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and manage key levers that drive growth and profitability
  • An understanding of the general Oncology market space, not only from a marketing standpoint, but also from the point of view of colleagues in medical affairs, clinical development, regulatory affairs, and market access
  • Proven experience as Business Unit Head, Franchise Lead, Marketing Director or other relevant role with similar accountability
  • Proven experience in sales and/or marketing and managing relationships with key clients
  • In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis
  • Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes
  • Commercial awareness partnered with a strategic mindset
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong project management skills, leadership, problem solving, teamwork, analytical, and written/verbal communication
  • Working knowledge and experience with collaboration, influencing within a matrix environment, and working successfully with cross-functional teams both regionally and globally
  • Requires reasonable travel effort which can become substantial at times
Preferred experience & skills:
  • Minimum 6 years of commercial experience in Oncology is required; product launch experience is preferred. Knowledge of ovarian cancer, breast cancer, hepatocellular cancer, prostate cancer, and/or pancreatic cancer is an asset. Experience with biomarkers and diagnostic testing is an asset
  • Cross-country experience (ideally within EMEAC region) and/or knowledge of different regulatory and reimbursement systems
  • Business fluency in English is required. Fluency is another language used in the region is a significant asset
