The Role

MSD Balkans is accelerating its Digital Transformation to differentiate through Digital, Data & Analytics which will provide 4 main sources of value:


  • ENGAGE with HCPs and Patients through personalized experiences using a combination of in-person and digital channels
  • DECIDE based on deep insights from real-time integrated data analytics
  • AUTOMATE end-to-end core commercial business processes
  • INNOVATE and partner to implement digitally enabled healthcare solutions aligned to integrated business strategies with Patients and Customer needs


In the Digital Transformation Lead role, you will report to the Cluster COD and be a key member of the Balkans Commercial Operations team, leading the digital strategy and execution of digital projects in the Balkans. In this role you will work in cross functional teams across the Balkans and support the business to leverage new Digital Capabilities, to build new digital capabilities, to achieve strong results today and to develop future growth opportunities through Digital Capabilities. As part of this digital role, you will have a key lead role of building and improving processes to enhance Customer Reach & Engagement, to improve Patients Experience as well as to optimize access to our Products portfolio across the Balkans.

Accountabilities

  • Guiding countries through the integrated digital roadmap development and supports its implementation.
  • As primary interface with countries, leads and deploys cross-functional expert teams (IT, Marketing, and other expertise as needed) to identify digital execution priorities per market and craft into digital roadmaps.
  • Applies a deep understanding of individual market dynamics including knowledge of the customer, technology and partnership landscape that will drive strategic digital choices; couples this with deep knowledge of all available capabilities to design and support delivery of market implementation roadmaps.
  • You will need to work closely with colleagues on Creative Services, Content Management, Veeva CRM and leverage our new Digital Capabilities (e.g. Cornerstone and MDE) to meet our constantly evolving business, customer and patient needs.
  • Use business analytics and intelligence to provide insight to all relevant product/project stakeholders to create and drive change to improve the Customer and Patient experience.
  • Identify opportunities to develop and drive solutions to enable automated tools and applications for Customer & Patients self-service related to Help and Information.
  • Identifies strategic and executional roadmap synergies across multiple countries; facilitates deployment of Digital resources, capitalizing on synergies.
  • Manages and coaches cross-functional teams to ensure that digital milestones as agreed with countries and cluster leadership Teams are achieved on time and within budget.
  • You will facilitate and enable the Brand and Customer Marketing managers in the business units through the process of identifying user needs, mapping journeys and developing a vision for the ideal customer / patient experience.
  • Inform cluster and countries on Digital Capabilities & Competencies development gaps and integrate these needs into the Balkans L&D Roadmap.
  • Discerns market-level learnings and case examples that are relevant for broad sharing and distribution to other countries / clusters.
Qualifications

You have:

  • Experience in driving complex projects effectively including digital transformation projects.
  • The genuine interest and prior experience in digital marketing is a must.
  • Track record of strategic and executional commercial achievements.
  • Collaborative skills, with an ability to work across cultural, geographic and hierarchical boundaries.
  • Technical and process expertise in digital is an important asset and understanding of the current and future digital pharma or life science ecosystem is considered a plus.

  • Innovative strategic thinker with project management skills.
  • Accustomed to working in a diverse and rapidly changing world, delivering projects across several teams, timelines and within a matrix structure
  • Fluent in business English (written and spoken)
