History: Pioneers in Animal Health
For decades, MSD Animal Health has been a leader in groundbreaking biological research. The story begins with Wim Hendrix, a visionary animal feed producer. Recognizing that a sick chicken wouldn't eat, he founded Laboratoria Nobilis in 1949. This company would focus on the development of vaccines against poultry diseases. MSD Animal Health has grown into one of the largest centers in the world for vaccine development, production, and sales.

At our location in Boxmeer, more than 2500 colleagues work passionately to improve the health of animals worldwide. Boxmeer is the largest development and production site for veterinary vaccines in the world. Everything happens here, from research and development to the production of medicines and vaccines
