Position Overview  



Reporting to the Fulfillment Execution Lead, the incumbent is to develop and submit the Consensus Demand Forecast for all materials for Greece and Cyprus on a monthly basis. He/she is also responsible for the coordination of the cross-departmental cooperation process.

The incumbent is to ensure uninterrupted local delivery capability by managing the stock levels. Main components of this task are continuous monitoring of flow of goods from Production Sites to local warehouse, development of coverage analysis, sales unit analysis and expiry checks.

The incumbent shall provide timely information on performance to all internal stakeholders.




The incumbent is accountable for the cross-coordination and collaboration with Regional Production Planners, Sales & Marketing Departments, Customer Services, Finance Department and Supply Chain Specialist.

The incumbent will support the development and implement initiatives which ensure alignment with overall MSD strategy and deliver cost effective, compliant operations.



Major Activities



Contribute to Overall Company Business Objectives


  • Leading the cross-departmental Sales & Operational process meetings

  • Development and timely submission of Consensus Demand Forecast into supply chain-module (Rapid Response system)

  • IQV-Reporting (Inventory of Questionable Value)

  • Supporting the continuous ability to supply by Flow of Goods Management

  • Working closely with local Marketing and regional Supply Chain functions to clearly understand true business requirements and identify gaps



Relationship Management:



The incumbent, together with his/her Manager, builds strong partnerships with Regional Production Planners, Sales & Marketing Departments, Customer Service/Finance management to ensure that customer requirements are understood and met on a continuous basis.



Strategy Development & Implementation



The incumbent works with his/her Manager to support the definition and the implementation of strategic initiatives and strategies that support short and long term operational and financial objectives.



In detail the role contains:


  • monthly meetings with cross-functional teams

  • monitoring of flow of goods from production sites to local warehouse (stock transfer orders, timely shipments)

  • responsibility for forecast accuracy

  • performing root cause analysis for forecast errors

  • developing Days-of-Coverage analysis, daily sales units reports, customer sales analysis, expiry checks, safety stock checks

  • monitoring material master entries in SAP system

  • coordinating deletion or harmonization requests as Country Implementation Lead for Product/SKU Optimization tasks

  • Reporting of all imports to local health authorities




The incumbent is responsible for performance reports including but not limited to:


  • Weekly Product availability report/Out of stock report

  • Monthly supply chain activity report 

  • Monthly cost analysis, supply chain scorecard (KPI report)

  • IQV analysis

  • Monthly Demand Change Commentary



Backup functions:


The incumbent substitutes the Supply Chain Specialist during absence.


Expertise Required / Core Competences 


  • College or University degree

  • at least 3 years of relevant work experience in a planning function

  • knowledge of supply chain, ideally pharmaceutical operations

  • minimum of 3 years of experience utilizing an ERP system such as SAP

  • strong PC/ Analytical skills – Excel

  • business management knowledge

  • numerical ability, attention to detail

  • output-orientated working style

  • collaboration skills, assertiveness

  • excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • proficiency in English

  • experience working with cross functional teams

  • ability to work independently without direct supervision
