MSD Brinny have an opportunity for a QC Analyst Chemistry. The purpose of the QC Analyst is to perform testing of samples to support the Quality release of our products.

This role requires shift work which will work a 4 cycle shift pattern and this is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

The team working style is one of collaboration, coaching and facilitating to provide solutions to the Quality team in supporting a High Performance Organisation.

The candidate will contribute to the High Performance culture by providing an inclusive environment to enable team members to achieve their best work.

The QC Analyst is an active member of the cross functional Team, providing expertise to ensure the compliant and safe success.

The QC Analyst will model the MSD Leadership behaviours and understand the MPS principles to drive a culture of continuous improvement building a High Performance Organisation.

The QC Analyst will participate and comply with the our Manufacturing Division Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, including ownership, as relevant to you.

Primary activities/responsibilities:



  • Ensure highest Quality & Compliance standards.

  • Analysis, release and testing of samples.

  • Documentation in compliance with GMP and GxP and Data Integrity standards.

  • Compliance with 6S standards.

  • Problem solving to get to root cause of issues.

  • Support Laboratory Investigations

  • Responsible for supporting a culture of Continuous Improvement by using MSD Six Sigma tools in your daily work.

  • Coaching and collaborating with others by sharing your skill-set and expertise.

  • Focus on Customers, Including Patients

  • Focus the entire organization on delivering value for customers, including patients, by understanding and meeting their needs.

Qualifications

General


  • Knowledge of working practices required for a Microbiology laboratory

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to plan and organize effective and efficient work schedules.

  • Ability to set and maintain high standards of laboratory housekeeping.

  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve.

  • Ability to respond to changing priorities

  • Demonstrated ability to fully realize improvement initiatives.

  • PC skills such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint


Technical


  • Demonstrated knowledge in more than one pharmaceutical and/or chemical manufacturing operation (e.g. Quality, Science etc).

  • At least three years experience in the Pharmaceutical industry or a similar operating environment which includes experience in a QC Laboratory or equivalent – as applicable.

  • A good knowledge of cGMP, GLP, site and corporate Quality Systems


People


  • Demonstrated high level of scientific problem solving and facilitation skills


Education


  • 3rd level Degree in Science or related discipline.

  • Preference for Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
