The Global Supply Chain Planning Director, Oncology and Immunology

The Global Supply Chain Planning Director will manage a team of global supply chain planning professionals responsible for the end-to-end supply chain teams planning the network from Customer node(s) to Supplying node(s). The job holder works effectively across the organization, driving alignment and compliance within the end-to-end Supply Chain Organization, as well as directing activities related to the supply plan within the IBP process in order to achieve targeted customer service levels and planned inventory targets. The focus area of this position will be in Oncology and Immunology.


Key to the role is leading continuous improvement initiatives and its associated change management with respect to processes, tools and people with support from global functions. The job holder is expected to achieve this through coaching and mentoring the respective operational teams in close collaboration with the regional Hub management team.



Primary activities include, but are not limited to:



1.Leadership


  • Orchestrate end-to-end Service & Inventory work-process (including reporting) across functions, business and sites. Drive standard scorecard reviews ensuring the right gap analysis & action planning is in place to correct variances

  • Interact with the Regional Business Operations group in assisting with implementation of new business opportunities to support the sales targets for the region

  • Connect with regional & global leaders and teams to improve supply chain effectiveness and performance, primarily through excellent technical ability, coaching and leadership

  • Developing a set of actionable and targeted change management plans in line with the introduction of new planning processes and system capabilities and execute those plans

  • Responsible for influencing and setting the relative targets on inventory and lead time to improve line item fill rate, reduce stock outs, improve working capital and minimize discards at the optimum supply chain cost through each node in the network

  • Closely partner with different senior stakeholders within and outside Our Manufacturing Division.

  • People Management: Closely support and/or sponsor initiatives related to people development including development planning, succession and key talent planning; continuous training on the job

  • Stakeholder Management: Act as team member of the wider Hub management team and closely collaborate with different senior stakeholders within and outside Our Manufacturing Division. Such as Portfolio Management, Master Data Management, Demand Management & Fulfillment. Enterprise Solution, Planning Support, GHH and Finance.



2.Operational Management


  • Standardization of supply planning processes through all nodes of the network working within the constraints of the financial supply chains established by corporate finance and tax

  • Sustain adherence of the team’s regular review of planning parameters over the life cycle of the respective product

  • Responsible that the team’s strictly adhering to the company’s compliance guidelines

  • Adhere to the standard weekly Tier process and its defined escalation policies in case of supply issues

  • Actively engage in the IBP process and assure the E2E supply planning teams are taking a leading role in the site supply reviews and brand & LOB reviews

  • Responsible for the timely delivery of profit and inventory plans of products within scope

  • Oversee product strategies according to its lifecycle management and marketing strategies to allow timely execution of associated planning activities. (Phase-In & Phase-Out planning, new product launches, artwork changes, regulatory changes, source change management

  • Supporting the development, introduction and then embed technology advancements in Supply Chain Planning

  • Continuous development of employees by supporting their development plans, focusing on the competency framework defined per role

  • Budgetary analysis related to inventory and capacity constraints in relation to impact against commercial targets

  • Interface between and escalation point for Commercial, Finance and Supply Chain partners – supporting Monthly, Quarterly and Annual reporting & business analysis

  • Ensure the highest ethical standards of integrity and professionalism are adhered to in the planning process in accordance with corporate requirements
Qualifications



  • Traveling in the first 6 months up to 100% to the US, then 25%

  • Engineering or Science related degree preferred

  • Operational experience – Manufacturing or Technical

  • Previous experience handling significant manufacturing deviations and associated supply planning scenarios

  • Significant experience with Quality and Regulatory change control management in pharmaceutical industry

  • 10+ years of supply chain related experience within an industrial environment out of which at least 5 years as team lead (Customer Service, Supply Operations, Manufacturing, Logistics)

  • Minimum 3 years’ of commercial operations / S&OP experience in high pressure matrix organizations preferably within different industry sectors

  • Project Management: Demonstrated track record of delivering projects and realizing benefits within time budget

  • Demonstrated change management capabilities

  • Detailed knowledge of S&OP, Order to Cash, Financial and Supply Planning processes and systems

  • Strong customer focus, inter-personal skills and information systems skills

  • Ability to listen to others and link to others’ ideas

  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills, including familiarity with operations concepts (e.g. DMAIC, Lean 5S)

  • Ability to present complex analysis in understandable forms to business stakeholders

  • Demonstrates leadership through influence and effective conflict resolution and ability to manage people in a matrix reporting structure

  • Experienced ERP / Planning Systems User
