Overall Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing technical services to clients and Business Unit (BU) members in order to support the activities of the BU members to generate higher levels of company business. 
 

SALES ATTAINMENT/SALES GROWTH 

  • Monitors sales performance of the products, undertakes regular analysis of performance against targets, and recommends appropriate measures to the BUM to ensure consistent high level of productivity.
  • Provides the Logistics Department the necessary sales forecast in order to ensure availability of stocks and inventory requirements. 
  • Conducts regular product trainings to Technical Sales Specialists (TSSs) to ensure proper product knowledge thereby generating sales. 
 NEW PRODUCTS 

  • Recommends and evaluates, together with the BUM, products for introduction and how to position these products to generate the expected sales contribution. 
  • Assists in the development and execution of appropriate marketing plans and product launch to gain immediate share of the market. 
  • Conduct registration related farm trials including manuscript preparation and presentation of results with the government regulatory officers.
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT/ SUPPORT 

  • Extends technical support to customers in terms of technical mailings, farm visits, field trials, and animal health evaluation and diagnosis; discusses findings and provides recommendations with key officers of client organizations. 
  • Develops program design, content and materials, organizes and facilitates technical conferences, seminars and learning sessions for customers and the sales group of the organization. 
  • Provides regularly programmed technical support to BU members to assist them in the achievement of specified and agreed sales targets. 
  • Develops relationship management with technical opinion leaders in the industry. 
 PROFITABILITY 

  • Prepares and secures approval of the expense budget in support of the BU’s operations and activities. 
  • Monitors expenses to ensure absence of negative budget variances related to operating expenses

Qualifications

  •  Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Animal Science
  • Substantial and relevant sales and marketing experience 
  • Managerial competence 
  • Leadership capabilities 
  • Excellent track record 
  •  Critical Competencies
