Opportunity offered : Environmental Health & Safety Sr. Specialist
We are looking for an experienced EH & Safety Sr. Specialist  based in Prague.
On this position you will be responsible for our Commercial Operations in Central and eastern Europe. Reporting to the Global Director EHS, the Sr. Specialist EHS is responsible for managing the development and implementation of environmental, health and safety programs for Commercial Operations (Offices and Warehouses) including both field sales and office facilities. 
This role will partner with country leadership and facilities to integrate effective and efficient EHS programs in alignment with business goals and values. Monitors and reports on EHS performance and develops strategies for continuous improvement and sustainable compliance to governing regulations and programs

You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of EHS experts and pharmaceutical professionals, translating safety relevant information into best practices and communicating across all levels of the organization.


Full Description of Position:
• Act as a single point of contact for business stakeholders in assigned areas of responsibilities. Provides coaching and support to operational leaders in meeting their responsibilities under the EHS program.
• Complete frequent program assessments and data analytics to evaluate the performance of the EHS programs. Establish and ensures completion of corrective actions, with urgency, to address areas requiring improvement. Escalate concerns through management as appropriate.
• Provide clear and concise EHS performance reports to operational leaders that are actionable and support implementation of EHS programs.
• Collaborate with and provides guidance to local leadership and facilities management to drive consistency into the implementation of EHS programs across Commercial Operations.
• Manage the assigned budget within the established limits and quickly reports, adjusts and resolves variances.
• Ensure completion of all regulatory submissions and notifications required to maintain compliance with federal/country, state, and MSD EHS requirements.
• Develop and implements approaches to protect the safety of employees and to continuously reduce EHS events. Ensure proper investigation of EHS events through the root cause and establishes the required preventative measures.
• Partner with Fleet Management, Service Providers, Human Resources and Country leaders to ensure compliance with Global Motor Vehicle Safety program. Provide expert advice and coordinate local technical support.
• Ensure reporting of accidents or environmental events to the enforcing authorities and MSD reporting guidelines.
• Ensure that adequate records are maintained to demonstrate compliance with EHS programs.
• Develop and implement country-specific injury prevention campaigns based on trending analysis.
• Complete working visits to Commercial sites as needed. Participate in comprehensive building inspection of Commercial sites supported.
• Partner with in-country Communication teams to develop and implement effective communication strategy. Including information resulting from EHS related events to office occupants and field sales using available communication tools (Newsletter, Sync, etc.
• Travel about 25% of the time.

Qualifications

Expected Qualification of YOURS :

We are seeking professionals with the following qualifications, skills and Experience:

Qualifications
 
Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree;
• Minimum 5 years applied professional EHS work experience;
• Proficiency in Czech and English language both written and spoken. Other European languages are a plus German, Swedish, Norwegian, French, Italian.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills. Proven ability to present information clearly and concisely through all levels of an organization;
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to quickly adjust to changing situations.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in Safety or Environmental related technical discipline;
• Experience with Fleet Safety and Office Safety;
• Relevant EHS professional certification. Example: NEBOSH, CSP, CHMM, or equivalent.
