Overall Objectives:

The District Manager is responsible for driving and attaining the district sales strategic mission and vision to achieve optimal business results, superior operational performance, industry leadership and competitiveness. These are achieved through the alignment of sales programs to marketing initiatives, effective account management, attainment of sales and profitability targets, and sales team development. This role leads, coaches, manages and develops a team of district managers and sales representatives to deliver sales services within his/her customer base and region.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Expertise & Relationship Management

• Seeks and consolidates comprehensive information on customers and competitors from PHRs
• Guides PHRs in using customer and market knowledge to achieve behavioral objective for individual customer or customer group
• Manages systems and initiatives to facilitate continuous skill development of PHRs and achievement of business objectives for individual customer or customer group
• Identifies future KOL and COP and establish plan for effective development

Sales Planning and Forecasting

• Leverages data from standard reports on business, customer, and implementation metrics.
• Interprets and integrates all relevant information to identify performance drivers and barriers
• Conducts regular reviews of segmentation and targeting, ensures effective resource management and allocation, and takes appropriate measures to drive consistent high levels of productivity and profitability
• Performs regular review of sales processes, information, and systems to ensure improvement, relevance, and effectiveness versus sales operational and performance tracking needs.
• Establishes plan of action with analysis and detailed objectives, roles, responsibilities, timelines and milestones
• Achieves optimal prioritization of accounts, customers, and PHRs using an aligned plan of action

Sales Implementation & Tracking

• Drives sales strategies and objectives and ensures effective communication
to and alignment of the team with the overall Business Unit strategy,
marketing program and sales activities
• Leads/rallies team to attain sales and profitability targets
• Installs a process or system in profiling customers and guide team in applying
and interpreting available information to ensure that activities are being
implemented with the right audience to meet plan of action objectives
• Leverages available tools to track district performance
• Cascades planned rewards and recognition schemes


• Anticipates price movements and recommends appropriate resource
allocation and strategy to outmaneuver competition.
• Ensures that all sales activities provide optimal return on investment (ROI)
• Monitors sales operational expenses to ensure absence of negative budget
variances related to operating expenses.

Recruitment and Development of Sales Team Members

• Recruits, selects and trains sales representatives
• Sets, models, and drives standards for performance excellence
• Builds, develops, and nurtures collaborative team environment, and sets
norms for acceptable team behavior for sales representatives
• Evaluates team performance versus objectives, identifies performance
development needs, sets developmental objectives, and provides continuous
growth opportunities to address personal development, professional
development, and organizational and operational savvy.
• Identifies key and potential talents in the team, formulates talent management
plans, and ensures implementation and follow-through.
• Ensures continuous high levels of product and professional knowledge for the

• Champions OVS with team and customers

Job Qualifications:
  • At least 5-10 years sales experience
