In order to respond adequately to the evolving healthcare industry and employment trends, our Global Talent Acquisition model is transforming from a recruitment delivery function to a value-adding HR Centre of Expertise, providing expert advice and talent/competitor intelligence to the business. Consistent market mapping for business-critical skillsets and the development of a strong employer branding and university relations strategy are additional examples of the enhanced service offering to our clients. 


A key enabler for this shift has been a significant investment in headcount, budget, and technology as well as a new partnership with a professional Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) organization to deliver much of our business standard recruitment activities as well as sourcing and administration services for all vacancies. 


MSD is recruiting for a permanent position as Talent Acquisition Advisor, supporting Austria and Switzerland, delivering end-to-end recruitment solutions for the business in close collaboration with a collocated team of RPO Talent Acquisition Advisors. Working from our main office in Vienna, Austria, the Talent Acquisition Advisor will have the chance to gain additional exposure in the wider region by providing dedicated recruitment support for niche positions in other markets. MSD offers flexible working hours and home office solutions. 


Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following tasks:

  • Responsibility for end-to-end recruitment for all business niche roles in Austria, partnering closely with the business to understand demand and business priorities
  • Provide additional recruitment support for assigned niche roles in other European countries within the region, working closely with the Talent Acquisition Lead
  • Ensure best-in-class hiring manager and candidate experience by providing consistency in all Talent Acquisition processes
  • Collaborate with Sourcing teams to develop deep and diverse candidate pipelines for both active recruitment and talent pooling activities
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Lead to define and implement Employee Branding, Social Media, and Diversity strategies
  • Implement Talent Acquisition solutions in areas such as social/digital, talent pipelining, university relations, early career, and diversity needs in line with business requirements
  • Leverage external data from the local market and talent supply trends to influence talent decisions for the business
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Several years of end-to-end recruiting experience; combination of agency and corporate recruitment preferred
  • Experience working in a global, multinational environment, ideally within the pharmaceutical/ biotechnology industry
  • Advanced knowledge of the external labor market in Austria, preferably in the life science sector
  • Deep understanding of the end-to-end recruitment process, best practices in talent acquisition, and direct candidate sourcing methodologies
  • Interest in new trends in the field of talent sourcing and engagement, e.g. using social media
  • Advanced competency-based interviewing skills and an understanding of current assessment tools
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems (e.g. Taleo, Workday) is advantageous
  • Documented ability to produce analytics to support robust business proposals; thorough understanding of systems and data bases
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate within the HR function, delivering a holistic talent acquisition service to the business and the candidate
  • Proven ability to efficiently handle multiple priorities and deliver quality work on time
  • Exceptional networking skills, fostering strong relationship with internal clients and in the external talent market
  • Documented ability to consult and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working within a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  • Fluency in English and German, both verbal and written 


MSD offers an attractive salary, outstanding social benefits and an exciting work environment with varied tasks in an international environment. The minimum annual salary for this position is EUR 56.000,-- and varies according to the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
