Are you an experienced Talent Acquisition professional and familiar in working in large matrixed environments? Do you have a deep understanding of direct sourcing methodologies, end to end recruitment process and an excellent track record when it comes to direct hiring methodologies? Do you have an appetite for new technology and be willing to experiment with digital and social solutions that will appeal to talent segments?

 

We are looking for a Strategic Talent Acquisition Partner to join us on this unique and exciting journey and help MSD become the leading healthcare company in the world.

 

Purpose of the role

With the evolving healthcare industry and employment trends shifting, MSD Global Talent Acquisition (GTA) is transforming the service offering to her business. We are on the journey to move from a recruitment delivery function to a value add Talent Acquisition Centre of Expertise (COE) that not only delivers hires but is also a strategic business partner. As a MSD Talent Acquisition Advisor, you will offer the business great services ranging from finding the best talent for their open roles, bringing insights with respect to the competitor landscape and advise on the best talent attraction strategy. An important part of your role is developing a strong employer brand with a focus on employee advocacy.

 

A key enabler for this shift is a partnership with a Recruitment Outsourcing Partner (RPO) to outsource much of our standard recruiting work, as well as the administration attached to it. With this significant investment in resources, we free up the MSD Talent Acquisition Advisors to better serve MSD for the workforce of the future. 

 

This journey has already begun across several markets and is our intended model across the world. Netherlands is successfully working in this model since June 2018.

 

Welcome in our team

As a MSD Talent Acquisition Advisor, you are part of a team of 3 MSD Talent Acquisition Advisors across Haarlem and Oss. You will be based in Boxmeer and report to the Global Talent Acquisition Lead for the Benelux. You will collaborate as one team with the RPO recruiters (4) and ensure consistency in all talent acquisition processes that support best in class manager and candidate experience.  

 

You will be part of One HR team and know how to effectively work with HR, partnering with COE’s and HR Operations to deliver a holistic talent acquisition service to the business and the candidate.

 

Main responsibilities


  • You will partner strategically with the business to understand priority needs and will support the hiring of business-critical roles.
  • You will implement talent acquisition solutions in the areas of social/digital, talent pipelining, university relations and employer branding in line with business requirements. To demonstrate the added value of TA you have a good eye for metrics and analytics and have excellent stakeholder management skills to ensure all relevant parties are up to date with respect to the hiring strategy.
  • You’ll understand the local market, talent supply and trends and you are able to leverage external data to influence talent decisions for the business.
  • You will manage expectations or play a pivotal role in influencing on hiring decisions to deliver the best results.
  • You feel comfortable to present talent strategies to management and to collaborate on hiring topics which need creative solutions.
  • Your job is done when the preferred candidates has accepted the offer and you will partner with our shared service center to let them finalise the paperwork.

 

 

Qualifications

Your profile

  • A Bachelor’s or University degree in a relevant discipline is required
  • An experienced Talent Acquisition Professional with a deep understanding of direct sourcing methodologies, end to end recruitment process knowledge and competency based interviewing skills is a must-have.
  • You will have at least 8 years’ experience of working in a large matrixed environment - manufacturing, commercial, research and agency/search organization - ideally within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Excellent track record when it comes to direct hiring methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing) in English and Dutch.
  • Strong Stakeholder Management skills, influential and consultative approach. You will foster strong relationships with your clients always with a can-do mentality.
  • You will have an appetite for new technology and be willing to experiment with digital and social solutions that will appeal to talent segments.
