As Associate Director / Health Economist you are part of Denmark's strongest health-economic team in an international and well-consolidated company whose ambition is to be one of the fastest growing drug companies in Denmark. You set the agenda for the dissemination of the company's work through relationship building to medical and non-medical decision-makers as well as other relevant health-economic stakeholders.

Your main tasks are to coordinate and conduct health-economic analysis. You involve external and internal resources to ensure progress in the projects. You are also responsible for communicating the scientific evidence of analyzes. The persons you primarily communicate with externally are medical and health-economic decision-makers in regional and national institutions.


Internally at MSD, your relationships are local, regional and global. Part of your area of responsibility is also to lead national and international strategic projects, just as you also participate in projects led by others.


You have the courage to express your opinions and you have your social values in order. With your winning mindset and good collaboration skills, you can inspire, motivate and challenge your surrounding both externally and internally. You are able to generate momentum and significant results through your visions, ideas and your methodical approach to the tasks. You have a relevant academic education as well as a good network and good knowledge of the health sector from a research community, consultancy or public authority.


In addition, you have solid health economics understanding. You are able to think and act strategically and you both have the desire and talent to plan and communicate health-economic analyzes and contexts also to those who do not have this as a primary task.

Qualifications

Academic: for example Master’s degree in Political Science, Economics or Social Health Sciences.

Professional Experience: 2-5 years of experience in a relevant position, preferably in public domain, or other institutions with influence on the decision making process (Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance, National Board of Health etc.)


Preferably well-established network in Ministries, Regions, Organizations.


Good understanding of influencing patterns in healthcare organizations. Good understanding of instruments of decision making processes in the healthcare environment. Good understanding of market dynamics and health economics. Understand how products address clinical needs. Good knowledge of ethical rules within health care and public administration.

Ability to be responsive to meet the needs of creative suggestions. Drive and own responsibility for optimizing. Personal leadership and good knowledge of project management. Make rapid, disciplined decisions. A self- starter – independent of direct manager.


Language:
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Danish.
