MSD Animal Health Nordic, Business Unit Swine is looking for a swine veterinarian with a heart for a career in the pharmaceutical industry.

Our business is expanding, and therefore we are opening a new position as Technical Manager with responsibility for customers in east Denmark and south Sweden.


 The position is a part of the MSD Animal Health sales organization and includes responsibility for:

• Technical support of MSD’s current swine product


• Implementing new solutions in the swine farms

• Customer support on problem solving in the swine farms

• Involvement in trials and collection of clinical experience

• Support of business unit in strategic and technical



 You will be part of an engaged team of experienced swine veterinarians, biologists and agronomists that work closely together to support swine veterinarians and production in the Nordics with relevant and innovative products.Your starting focus will be to maintain and develop MSD’s sale of vaccines (mainly) in the Nordic swine market by technical support and cooperation in the field.

Development of vaccines is a first priority in MSD, and we have a strong portfolio of well established products and an exciting pipeline. In the long run, you should be ready to prepare for increased responsibility and a leading role in the company.


 You can travel 2-3 days a week, and have responsibilities in the major part of the Nordic area. Primarily you will spend your time in east Denmark and south Sweden. Your location is not critical, but living within driving distance to Copenhagen/Malmø will be an advantage. You will work from a home office.

Participation in international as well as internal meetings and conferences will be part of your job.


The ideal candidate is used to working in swine farms (at least 2-3 years of experience) and knows the business well, preferably both in Sweden and Denmark. You are able to find solutions and communicate and implement them in the complex circumstances that exist in modern swine productions. There
are no specific scientific requirements, but you need to have an interest and be on top of existing knowledge within handling swine diseases.


We are looking for a person able to manage his/her own day, who communicates well with farmers and vets and has ability to develop partnership with MSD customers. You should be willing to be part of a team where roles and tasks are mutually agreed and willing to influence decisions. Challenging status
quo and following agreements are key words for our team. You need to be able to communicate in Danish/Swedish and English. You need a competitive mindset which means that you have to be motivated by reaching the sales targets of the company together with a team.


We prefer a candidate with ambitions to work against an increasing responsibility and leading roles within the company,including responsibility for people management and strategy – in the first line locally, but with global assignments as an opportunity. Your mind should be set at starting with a clear
technical sales focus that will develop towards increasing responsibility.
