Position Overview

Provide day to day support for the IPT Coaches, IPT Production Lead and Supply Chain Coordinators as well as involvement in support of specific IPT improvement projects.


GMP Responsibilities

• Required to comply with Merck Global Policies, Procedures and Guidelines, regulatory requirements and execute Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in the performance of day-to-day activities and all applicable job functions.
• Responsible for:
o Attending and successfully completing applicable GMP training, including training in local operating procedures.
o Ensuring you are suitably trained to perform your job.
o Ensuring that this training is accurately recorded in your training record.
o Ensuring that your job is performed in accordance with the training and in compliance with procedures relevant to the role/activity.
o Bringing to the attention of management any violation in cGMPs and/or other concerns which may affect the safety, efficacy, or purity of Merck product.


Duties and Key responsibilities

1. To provide technical support for all processes involved in running of the IPT.
2. To implement improvement projects as directed by IPT Production Lead or Supply Chain Lead.
3. To support investigations and follow up issues arising from safety incidents, atypicals or customer complaints, establishing assignable causes for events and proposing appropriate actions to minimise rework and improve processes.
4. To participate as directed Continuous Improvement projects to realise improvements in Safety, Quality, Supply or Cost.
5. To comply with the standards in Merck policies, procedures, guidelines and SOPs.
6. To support any IPT projects or tasks as required by IPT Coaches or Production/Supply Chain Leads.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Working towards a minimum of a 2:1 in a relevant discipline
• Entering your third or penultimate year of study, returning to your degree course at the end of the placement
