We have exciting, new opportunities for Regional Associate Directors, Medical Affairs Oncology to be based in multiple countries within Europe.


 

Positions Overview 


 


The Regional Associate Directors Medical Affairs (RADMAs) will be responsible for driving execution of scientific & medical affairs plans for respective therapeutic area within Oncology in the countries of their assigned region.


 


They will work with the Regional Directors Medical Affairs (RDMAs) to support cross-functional teams, including Commercial, Center of Real-World Evidence (CORE), Policy and Market Access. They will engage with their network of scientific leaders in their region. These are regionally based positions (i.e. residing in one of the affiliates of the region or regional hub) for Global Medical Affairs Oncology.


 

Primary activities


 



  • Guide country Global Medical Affairs Oncology staff to execute the annual scientific & medical plan for Oncology.



  • Support the Regional Medical Affairs Team to ensure execution of agreed medical tactics and leverage best practices.



  • Support Regional Medical Affairs Director Oncology (RDMA) in executing regional medical affairs team meetings.



  • Ensure scientific exchange is aligned with the global scientific communications platform.



  • In collaboration with the RDMA, partners with regional Commercial, Center of Real-World Evidence (CORE), Policy and Market Access to drive development and execution of regional plans.



  • Consolidate actionable medical insights from countries in their region.


  • Engage with a network of scientific leaders and other key stakeholders (therapeutic guideline committees, payers, public groups, government officials, medical societies) from their region.



  • Support, as regional Oncology therapeutic area expert, colleagues in the MSD affiliates, in engagement with their national scientific leaders.



  • Organise regional expert input events to answer MSD’s questions on how to implement new indications, advisory boards and expert input forums.



  • Organise regional symposia and educational meetings.


  • Support countries with the development of local data generation study concepts and protocols.



  • Support RDMA in identifying and communicating regional content and training requirements.



  • Manage regional programs (patient support, educational or risk management) to support appropriate and safe utilization of MSD medicines.


 

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:


 

Required



  • MD., or PhD or PharmD


  • At least 3-5 years pharmaceutical (or related) industry experience within Oncology.



  • Experience in country / region Medical Affairs.


 

Skills Required:




  • Strong prioritization and decision-making skills.



  • In a matrix environment, able to effectively collaborate with partners across divisions.



  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, communication skills (written as well as verbal).



  • Results oriented project management skills.




Preferred Experience and Skills:




  • Pharmaceutical (or related) industry experience in a regional/international setting. 



  • Scientific leadership and other key stakeholders (payers, public groups, government officials, medical professional organizations) in Oncology.
