MSD is recruiting X3 Farm Calling team Customer Support for a 12 month Fixed term contract to be field based.

This role will predominantly entail direct calling on sheep and cattle farmers and producers to discuss disease control and prevention strategies; covering a specified geographical territory.

Additional reponsibilities will include:

  • Initiating, developing and maintaining strong relationships with key local farmers and farming groups

  • Supporting and advising farmers on basic technical tasks such as vaccination technique and implementing flock and herd health plan elelments, under the guidance of the technical team

  • Organisation of local farmer events such as on-farm meetings and demonstrations

  • Attending local farmer auction mart days and industry shows and events as required

  • Follow up of leads created via telesales and at other farmer events, and providing on-farm support where required by the sales and technical teams

Development and maintainance of a farmer database for the territory



  • UK Farming practices

  • Livestock and farming systems in the UK

  • Vaccinations and how they work to prevent disease

  • Principles of lock and herd health planning

  • Principles of disease control and prevention strategies

  • Biosecurity on-farm

Skills Required:

  • Driving – full UK licnese essential

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Higher Agricultural qualification

  • ‘Passion for farming’

  • Worked on livestock farm

  • SQP or similar qualification
