You will be contacted by TAA and will be informed about a verbal offer from MSD. You will also be notified with your verbal offer via Workday. Please save a copy of your offer letter for your records.
You will be asked to formally accept the offer.
You will receive the verbal offer to your Workday profile, which will be titled ‘MSD verbal offer email template for Workday’.
You will be provided with an overview of the next steps to secure your employment clearances, work eligibility and additional information to help you prepare for your first day at work.
Who Will You Hear From?
The TAA you have been working with will contact you with your verbal and written employment offer via phone call followed by formal offer, which will be uploaded to your Workday profile.
What Actions Should You Take?
Please log into your Workday profile. After thoroughly reviewing the formal offer and you are happy to accept, please refresh your Google/internet after accepting the offer on Workday to access the onboarding documents.
Once accepted you will then receive an email from Workday requesting you to complete the next steps in the process.
You will be requested to complete a medical and we will coordinate with you on this.
Please confirm when you can potentially start with the business.
What Can You Expect?
At MSD, we utilize a Global Background Check program to conduct background screenings on newly hired and rehired employees.
This program helps us make informed, quality hiring decisions to support our business needs while adhering to local laws and regulations.
The contingency check comprises of a background screen (education information and employment background) and drug screen.
This process typically takes 7-10 business days to complete.
You will be notified once you successfully complete all required pre-employment contingencies.
If you been identified as a Known Consignor candidate, you will need to complete additional background checks including Garda Vetting.
Who Will You Hear From?
The TAA you have been working with will contact you with an overview of the pre-employment contingency check process.
Your TAA will contact you directly via email to facilitate the screening.
What Actions Should You Take?
Attend screening appointment as scheduled.
Signed Global Background Check (GBC) consent form:
A signed colour copy of your passport. You must include signed copies of cover and photograph page. Please ensure all four corners are visible and these copies are legible.
A copy of your highest educational cert/qualification
Proof of address (must be dated within the last 3 months).
What Can You Expect?
After you have completed all contingency clearances, you will work with your TAA on planning the details for your first day.
The company will begin planning for the support items you need in your new role (e.g. equipment, space, etc.).
Who Will You Hear From?
Your contract of employment will be emailed to you from our HR Support Centre via the platform Adobe sign. Please read it carefully and sign it digitally as per the Adobe sign instructions. A full list of your
company benefits will also be included at the end of your contract.
What Action Should You Take?
We will be in contact with you 2 weeks in advance of your start date, followed by an email from your site Learning & Development lead and contact from your new hiring manager. You will also receive 2 emails from Workday providing you with your 1.) Username and 2.) Temporary Password with the request to complete some actions linked to your Workday onboarding.
On successful completion of your checks, we will email you a final offer letter confirming this along with your agreed start date. In this letter you will receive information on how to set up your Workday profile on Day 1.
Please remember on your first day at MSD to log into Workday and enter your personal details including your bank information for payroll purposes.

You will be contacted by your recruiter to confirm where to park on your first day and who to meet at security.
Understand the dress code at your site and what to bring with you on your first day.
Be prepared to receive a temporary security badge for a period of time.
