Maintaining our high standards from a distance
Inspired by the range of remote productivity tools, which have been enthusiastically established in our day-to-day activities across all functions, Yvonne Küssner, Quality Assurance Lead, decided to introduce some creative ways to stay connected with her team during the current pandemic situation. Some of the newly implemented measures of success demonstrates the close-knit and collaborative nature of the Quality Assurance team in Manufacturing & Supply at MSD. Yvonne’s ideas include:
- Morning meetings for an informal catch up before starting the day
- Video conferences to share our new working environments, including children, and pets
- A Quality WhatsApp group to exchange uplifting news and situations
- Pizza days to get the team together whenever we're on site

Collaboration between our Manufacturing and Quality Assurance teams is key to our success in producing and delivering safe and high-quality products consistently. Quality Assurance roles within Manufacturing & Supply
Qualified Person
Ideally, you’ll have at least two years' professional experience as a Qualified Person (QP) in the pharmaceutical industry. In addition to a license to practice as a pharmacist or a degree in pharmacy, chemistry, biology, human medicine, or veterinary medicine, applicants must be able to prove that they worked in the field of drug testing for at least two years. Gaining practical experience of qualitative analysis of medicinal products, quantitative analysis of active substances, and testing and checking the quality of medicinal products will prove advantageous.
Quality Control
Successful applicants will hold a Bachelor’s degree or completed apprenticeship in life sciences. A minimum of two years' industry experience with substantial knowledge and experience in working in a (microbiocidal or chemical) lab unit. Plus, you’ll possess a strong knowledge of relevant Lab technical equipment, analytical methods and cGMP requirements.
Quality Assurance Specialist
Successful applicants will hold a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in life sciences, or in a relevant discipline. A minimum of two years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry—with significant of relevant cGMPs, regulations, quality assurance systems, and current industry trends. Strong communications skills and analytical mindset.
